Yuuuup. Hell, I can get an okay Series 1 E Type for that money.

I mean the XJS is starting to move upwards in price, but the nicest one in the world (and that one is pretty nice) might be worth $20k to some maniac somewhere someday. I'm legitimately impressed by his asking price, like how Ron Burgundy wasn't even mad when Baxter ate an entire wheel of cheese and pooped in the refrigerator.

Fitting the rules:

S2 XJ6 , “ran when parked”, currently bidding at US$500

S2 “Damiler” , “needs finishing” (no shit), no reserve US$1k (no bids)

XJ40 , “nothing major can be fixed easily”, US$1k reserve (no bids)

X300 3.2 , “looking a bit dowdy”, US$1800

Mk 10 , restoration “3/4 done”, US$2k reserve (no bids) - this one actually sounds like a deal, that’s a lot of classy land yacht for the money, and he’s done the expensive bits.

Not fitting the rules but worth including anyway:

1954 XK120 based custom wood-bodied boat-tail speedste r. US36k. Definitely WTF, but I can’t decide if that’s in a cool way.

1987 D Type Replica. US$106k . Aluminium bodied, made by Rod Tempero (who is the local god of hand-beaten exotica replicas: a 250GTO replica of his sold recently for several million $). Extensive racing history. Probably the closest mere mortals could ever get to owning a real D Type. This one is definitely WTF, and OMG!

And honestly, at first I thought the extra zero was a type as well. That happens all the time...somebody is selling a car for $4000 and they type 400 in the title, or 40000. But right there in the description, $70,000 and it’s yours. I kinda want to text him to see where he got the price.
